December 19, 2024
Dear friends:
2024 has been a banner year at All Saints’ by the Lake! We conducted two major renovation projects, bestowed the Anglican Award of Merit on Dion Lewis, and wrapped up the celebration of our “Year of Anniversaries.” New members are bringing energy to the congregation, our music program continues to sparkle, youth ministry is starting to flourish in the West Island, and we’re getting serious about a capital campaign to continue setting ourselves up for success in ministry in the future.
The Canada Post strike has made communication and finances somewhat challenging in these last few weeks (which is why this letter is going out on Christmas Eve and by email!). Our financial position is solid as we wrap up 2024, but end-of-year gifts are always welcome and will be put to good use, and if your donation is postmarked by December 31 we will credit it to you for the 2024 fiscal year. You’re also welcome to simply drop an envelope through the mail slot on the front door or have someone else deliver your offering likewise! Thank you so much for your consistent generosity!
As the days turn toward the light, may we take time to find peace amid the bustle of the season, and may we always bear in mind the needs of those who are most vulnerable in our society. In that regard, I’m pleased to share that All Saints’ distributed six holiday baskets, including gifts and gift cards, to families (including a total of 27 people) who were identified for us by Dorval Community Aid.
May you have a blessed Christmas, and may you be a blessing to others. And may 2025 bring us all fresh hope, renewed joy, and the gifts of health and peace.
Merry Christmas!
In Christ’s peace,
Grace+
