When Grace was a child, much of her time was spent at her mother’s Hermes manual typewriter (and later her 1986 IBM desktop computer) writing stories, novels, and scripts. She finished her first novel at age 11 and her first musical script at 16. In college and graduate school, of course most of her writing energy went to papers and projects, and as a full-time parish priest it tends to be focused on sermons and church communications. However, she still has hopes of finishing her musical adaptation of Elizabeth Marie Pope’s young adult novel The Perilous Gard, and in the meantime has published a number of articles in outlets such as the online magazine of Young Clergy Women International.
